Dr. Ansari secured his Master’s (M.Sc. & M.Phil.) and Doctoral (Ph.D.) degrees from Center of Advanced Study in Marine Biology, Annamalai University in 2013. Followed by Post-Doctoral Fellowship from different agencies such as World Bank, IISER Kolkata and DST-SERB NPDF for six years after his doctoral research. As active researcher, he was known as one of the meio-benthologist across the country with specialization on marine nematodes taxonomy and their environmental functions. On his credit he discovered nearly five new species of nematodes and ciliates to world and encountered more than 200 nematodes in first time in Indian waters. He also published more than 30 research articles along with monograph and book chapters in well renowned international journals. He also involved and acted as editor and reviewer in the international journals. Recent days he actively focusing on Biogeochemistry in particular with Blue Carbon mechanisms across the Indian Marine Marginal Ecosystems (MMEs) as part of his laboratory. He secured various awards and rewards form various activities on his carrier.

Dr. Kadharhsa obtained his Doctoral Degree (Ph.D.,) from Annamalai University, Chidambaram, Tamil Nadu in 2015. He has 14 years of research experience with areas of expertise in marine biology, fishery biology, biodiversity and conservation. His contributions were reported in the field of fishery biology, population dynamics, ecosystem modelling and socio-economics. He was the author of a manual on Identification of Finfishes off Parangipettai, Cuddalore Coast. He has published several research articles in peer-reviewed International and National Journals and submitted 74 sequences at the GenBank.
He served as expert at various Government Organizations such as Institute of Environmental Studies & Wetland Management, West Bengal, Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, Government of India and the National Biodiversity Authority of India. He travelled around 2700 nautical miles in the waters of Arabian Sea and Bay of Bengal in Research Cruise organized by the Ministry of Earth Sciences, GoI. Apart from teaching and research he actively involve in community participation through National Service Scheme as Programme Officer.
